ULTIMATE LEATHER JACKET | ANY TIME ANY SEASON

A few weeks back I had the pleasure of attending the opening of the new Kelso stand-alone store at BedfordCentre with the fabulous Leanne Dlamini as our MC for the night! We were also graced by the presence of Benefit Cosmetics who worked their magic on our faces as well as the team from Edgars who let us shop to our hearts content. AMAZING RIGHT!?!
Shopping for anything that you desire, in a completely brand new store with a completely brand new collection of garments, is really tougher than I had ever imagined. Despite this, I managed to eventually (emphasis on eventually) pick out this fabulous nude leather jacket and turtleneck jumper from the new Kelso A/W collection.
When I used to think about the ultimate leather jacket, I always had the colour black in mind, because every cool leather jacket I saw was always black.  BUT the moment I saw this nude leather jacket from Kelso I automatically changed my mind! This to me was the ultimate leather jacket!
Although it is not real leather (pout face), it is still extremely soft and comfy. It has pretty much been my go-to jacket this winter as it matches almost every outfit of mine. I love the nude/light tan tone of the jacket, which brightens up all my outfits.
Let’s get over the “must have” black leather jacket train (although I would still die for one myself) and get our hands on more lighter coloured leather jackets! They look so chic and stylish and give off a more elegant flare, don’t you think?

LUXURY LIVING | FORUM HOMINI BOUTIQUE HOTEL

I love finding new places to travel to in and around Johannesburg. This city has so much to offer!
If you follow me on Instagram  you would have seen that this past weekend, I had the pleasure of staying at the most beautiful lifestyle boutique hotel just outside of Johannesburg. The Forum Homini Boutique Hotel is situated in the heart of the Cradle of Humankind and the entire design of the hotel perfectly fits the theme of this area. With each suite replicating a cave (obviously way more luxurious and chic) but still taking you back in time to where mankind originated from. I love how the hotel has really incorporated the rich history and culture with a modern flare to the entire scene. The Cradle of Humankind is the richest treasure trove of early hominid fossils on Earth and this hotel has incorporated that into its design so well.
Our suite was so spacious and modern. I mean look at that, oh so heavenly, bath tub! The heated flooring and a cute little fire place with wine and sherry to sip on, made for a cosy environment.
I highly recommend visiting Roots Restaurant, situated at the Hotel, if you are in the area or planning a little getaway out to the country side.
Dinner was a 6 course fine dining experience accompanied by wine pairing with each dish. I can't begin to explain all the amazing flavours but all I can say is, that it is an unforgettable dining experience. The effort that is put into planning each and every dish as well as pairing it with the correct wine, made for an outstanding dining experience for me. All the flavours complimented each other so well.
Let's talk about breakfast, the next morning! OH MY was that the most delicious start to the day. With a 5 course fine dining breakfast, I could not resist (despite still being full from the night before). Additionally, I think the restaurant served the best freshly brewed coffee ever tasted. I am no coffee connoisseur but I do know a good coffee from a bad coffee and this was by far one of the most delicious cups of coffee I've ever tasted. If I could, I would totally drive all the way to Forum Homini for their coffee and of course every meal I ate there.

THE PERFECT PARKA FOR WINTER | BELLFIELD CLOTHING

Currently this post goes out to all my Southern Hemisphere dolls! Yes winter has officially kicked in and it is time to unpack the boxes and get out the coats and boots.

Although we may not have extreme winters, as those in the northern hemisphere have, we sure do have some cold mornings and cold evenings.

This parka for me is the ultimate jacket for winter. Not only is it super warm, comfy and soft, it also pretty much matches every outfit I wear and it an easy to wear parka that is perfect for any occasion. The parka is part of Bellfield's "The Maker" trend, which is the perfect must have coat to have in your wardrobe.

You can shop this parka in either the colour army green or in sand beige. I chose the army green, just because I personally own way too many sand beige coats and jackets.

Scroll down for the outfit details and don't forget that you can personally shop my clothes on either my blog or on Instagram via LIKEtoKNOW.it
