Standing out in a monochrome outfit is what it's all about. This overwhelming fashion trend always seems to have such an elegant affect.

By pairing this super cool black and white striped blouse from H&M 's conscious collection with black chinos, I really felt like I was making a bold yet subtle fashion statement. Simplicity is key with the monochrome trend and by not over doing your make up is important. Applying a brightly coloured lipstick adds so much to your monochrome outfit. I decided to go for this super sexy and seductive vintage red lipstick from Bobbi Brown, but you can always go for a fun cerise pink to give that pop of colour needed for this edge monochrome trend.

Happy Month of March!

As the season has officially changed, whether you in the northern hemisphere from winter to spring or in the southern hemisphere from summer to autumn, it's time to change the wardrobe.

In South Africa, the change of season from summer to autumn is always a tricky one. The days are still super hot but the nights begin to cool down. So deciding what to wear can be a difficult task at times. Opting for a short sleeve shirt and jeans or a maxi skirt is most probably the best option during this confusing change in season.

Wearing a print or even a floral pattern can be tough to pull off and could end in a fashion disaster, especially if you add a combination of prints together that don't compliment each other.
My advise is always to choose one garment with a print and pair it with a simple block colour garment which compliments the print you wearing.
My take on how to wear floral print was to wear this super cute maxi skirt from Poetry and pair it with a simple black vest. By wearing a simple block colour creates focus on the floral and allows your print to stand out and be bold.

Simple yet Stylish!
