LOFT MALTA | INTERIOR DESIGN PARADISE

An interior boutique store like no other!
LOFT, located in the heart of the quiant town of Naxxar, Malta, is an interior designer and architect's paradise.
There are many things to see and do in Malta, but I must say this is a location I'd highly recommend stopping at. If you are a creative like me or an architect looking for the perfect interior finish then LOFT is the perfect place to be inspired, network with the design staff and get your hands on the many one of a kind collectables that the store has to offer. The hip atmosphere that LOFT has brought about in a small yet practical way, really lets the creative mind escape reality and become inspired. Owned by the lovely Josette Schembri Vella, she has perfected the art of the finer things in life with her talented team.
Most of the pieces that you can find at LOFT have been personally picked out by Josette and imported from various nordic countries. From lighting to fabrics and specialised home accessories, LOFT has it all! Specifically designed and customised for your home and living space, the team at LOFT design, advise, select and install the perfect interior that you desire.
One of my favourite collectables that LOFT has to offer, is their bi-yearly Temple Magazine. A luxury magazine that is published twice a year, enriched with magnificent photography, inspiration and insightful information on not only LOFT, but also showcases the best of the best that the beautiful Maltese Islands have to offer and is the perfect insight to the luxury life that Malta holds. Just to add, should you be looking for the ultimate luxury experience when visiting Malta, I do recommend booking your trip with Temple Concierge, a sister company of LOFT.

GREAT SEAFOOD RESTAURANT IN MALTA | THE HARBOUR CLUB

Good food and wine is an important part of the Maltese culture, therefore we had to stop by The Harbour Club.
A restaurant with a breathtaking view overlooking the old town of Valletta, The Harbour Club is the perfect location for a romantic dining experience.
Once again the team and I were fortunate enough to experience this quaint little restaurant that is filled with a rich history.
For starters we had the pleasure of indulging in three wonderfully curated dishes. First, was a delightfully fresh Tuna tartar marinated in olive and black pepper, topped with cherry tomatoes, buttermilk and basil cream sauce. This dish was absolutely outstanding.
Secondly, was a delicious traditional Maltese  "Nanna's messed up Aljotta soup" consisting  of mussels, clams and a variety of vegetables in a creamy soup.
Thirdly, was a tasty acquerello risotto with green asparagus aged pecorino cheese and crispy guanciale.
For our main course we had a wonderfully prepared milk fed veal sirloin served with a cashew nut pureé, dehydrated grapes topped with cashew nuts.
We also opted for the calamari and octopus dish served with squid ink.
Our last main was a seared tuna steak dish accompanied with rolled stir fry vegetables and crispy potato cuts.
Food without wine is like a day without sunshine right? As we are in Malta, we decided to pair our food with a traditional Maltese wine, Chardonnay  "ISIS." With delectable fruity notes that enhanced the overall dishes that we had selected, this wine was fantastic.

There is no doubt about it that The Harbour Club, knows how to treat their guests with 5 star service.
If you're visiting Malta, I highly recommend adding this restaurant onto your list!

TOP ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN MALTA | CIBO

Finally we have arrived in Malta!

If you've been keeping up with my Instagram stories you would have seen that I have been indulging in some delicious cuisine here in Malta.
Our first stop was at Cibo, an Italian restaurant like no other! Located in the heart of Sliema, we were warmly welcomed by Jean Paul Testa, managing director of Cibo and Testa Catering Concepts Co Ltd.
For our first course, head chef, Daniele D'Apice, served us an amazing salmon risotto. I haven't always been a fan of risotto but I have to admit this salmon risotto was absolutely outstanding. The salmon was not over cooked and served medium rare (which I absolutely love), combined with the rich flavours of caviar, chili and crusted Parmesan cheese.
Paired with an Italian Chardonnay wine, Principato, this dish was nothing but divine and the risotto complimented the salmon so well.
For our second course, we enjoyed a casual pizza. Traditional Italian pizza is honestly my favorite and there is no doubt about it that Cibo has perfected the art of making authentic Italian pizzas! The pizza base was made with the unique Cibo dough and topped with the freshest ingredients. Once again paired with the wonderful Italian Principato, Chardonnay.
Although, we had the option of enjoying a third course, the famous Cibo ribs, which comes highly recommended, we could not squeeze it in!
In saying so, there is always space for dessert right?
For dessert we popped across the road to French Affaire, the sister Cafe of Cibo, where we enjoyed iced coffee and some decadent cakes. Ordering a mille-feuille, a lemon cheese cake and a caramel and pistachio Mille-feuille, we really enjoyed over-indulging in these fresh and delicious cakes.
All in all we thoroughly enjoyed this experience and highly recommend Cibo as part of your dining experience when visiting Malta.
