THE ULTIMATE VEGAS OUTFIT WITH VEGAS.COM

Hey dolls,

Although I might be here in the Southern Hemisphere, embracing the summer rays while sipping on a cocktail, I was inspired by VegasCom to showcase my take on the #UltimateVegasOutfit !

If you planning a dream trip down to Sin City, then arriving in style is a must! When I think of Las Vegas I think about fine dining, great parties, champagne and stylish outfits fit for every event.

My take on the #UltimateVegasOutfit is to keep it classy and elegant! The perfect lunch outfit I chose was this summer white dress with super cute sandals! From Italian lunches at the Giada to French Cuisine at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant on Las Vegas Boulevard, a stylish outfit is what you need!

THE ULTIMATE HALLOWEEN MAKEUP IDEAS

TRICK OR TREAT?!?

Hope you all had a stylishly spooky Halloween weekend!

As for me, it was jam packed with crazy halloween parties!
From celebrating "Day of the Dead" (Dia de Muertos) to turning into a vampire, it sure was an eventful Halloween weekend!

Halloween for me is dressing up with style!
All you need to do is make sure your makeup is well done, then the outfit is easy. A simple LBD (little black dress) can really give your halloween look a classy edge.

Sugar Skull Look:

Best suggestion to pull off this look is to use good quality face paint. I was lucky enough to find some face paint at a pharmacy (Drug Store) round the corner from me which worked like a charm.

For this look some people prefer to paint their entire face but as for me I thought half my face would look pretty cool too!
I painted a black circle around my eye and coloured that in with the black face paint. Then drew little round circles (like a flower) around my eye and filled it in with white dots. Around the rim of the circle I added red dots and as for the rest of my face, I kind of just made random shapes to fill in my face. I used "Fire- Engine Red" Lipstick from Bobbi Brown and applied red glitter on top of my lips to give it some sparkle. After that I used a black eyeliner pencil and drew lines over my lips to give it a stitched up lip effect.

My bestie Roxi K from Roxi K Designs took another approach to the Sugar Skull Girl by adding shades of purple and pink as you can see above in the photo attached!

There are so many varieties you can do to pull off this look!

Vampire Look:

With this look, I used a combination of "Red Brick" Eyeshadow and "Black Tied" Eyeshadow from M.A.C Cosmetics and blended the two shades together to give it a "natural vampire" look (if that is such a thing :p) Then on top of my eye lid, underneath my eyebrows, I used more of the "Red Brick" Eyeshadow to define my eyes. I darkened my eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil from Catrice Cosmetics
As for the super scary veins under my eyes, I used both a black eyeliner pencil and red lipliner pencil from Essence Cosmetics. Simply draw the lines lightly like tree branches and then used a blending brush to make them blend into your skin more naturally.
I used the same red lipstick that I used for my Sugar Skull look from Bobbi Brown and then blended the corners with black lipliner to give it more of a darker look.

Both these looks are simple to do yet so effective!
Go give these two looks a try for next year's Halloween!

REVIEW | L.A GIRL BEAUTY BRICK & CATRICE GLAMOUR DOLL VOLUME MASCARA

Hey Dolls,

Once again I have decided to write a review. This time on the fabulous L.A Girl Nude Beauty Brick Eyeshadow Palette and the gorgeous Catrice Glamour Doll Volume Mascara.

L.A Girl Nude Beauty Brick has often been compare to Urban Decay Naked3 Palette. For most of us who can't afford R1000 for one palette, L.A Girl has brought a super affordable and similar alternative. I absolutely love this palette for a day time look or when you want to go for something natural.

The Nude palette has really exceeded my expectations, that I couldn't resist buying the Smoky & Ultra beauty bricks too!

I am always trying out new mascaras and as for most us, it is the most difficult task to establish what mascara is right for us. This Volume Mascara from Catrice really speaks for itself. Glamour Doll is long lasting and has a great effect on maximising your lashes and defining your eyes. GREAT for making a statement!

Cosmetic Details:

Eyeshadow Palette: L.A Girl - Nude Beauty Brick ($9.00/ R69.95)

Mascara: Catrice Cosmetics - Glamour Doll Volume Mascara (€4.50/R56.00)

A MUST HAVE CHECKED SHIRT

Street Style is always a look I love to wear!

Not only is it simple but it is so edgy and fun!

Wearing checked/plaid is not always everyones favourite item of clothing but the truth is EVERYONE can pull it off! The thing with checked shirts is knowing HOW to wear it!

Keep it simple by adding coordinated colours to your outfit as well as plain colours and patterns. Don't try mixing more patterns than necessary. Rather make your checked/plaided shirt the main focus of your outfit!

My advice:

Grab yourself some comfy sneakers (my favourite is the classic Converse All Star), a pair of edgy ripped jeans and a plain vest (most popular with a checked blouse is definitely a white vest) and there we go!

This outfit is perfect for a Sunday Braai/BBQ with family/friends!

Outfit Details:

Vest: H&M

Blouse: Cherokee USA
Jeans: Zara
Sneakers: Converse All Stars
Jewellery: Swarovski
Watch: Fossil
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
Belt: Primark

Please feel free to leave your comments below! I would love to hear your opinion and advice about my posts!

Have a great week!

THE ULTIMATE STATEMENT OUTFIT

Come rain or sunshine, it is always great to brighten up your outfit with a pop of colour!

Don't you feel happier, stronger, more energised in brighter colour outfits? I sure feel like that!

Making a statement with your outfit is what it's all about in the World of Fashion!
Sometimes something simple can actually make a big statement.

On dull and gloomy days (although the lighting is great for photography) I feel like I need to add some colour to lighten up the day!

Adding a touch here and there can really turn heads.

Simply adding this super bright green Jersey from Primark with my grey jeans, black boots and black studded handbag indeed gave some edge to my outfit!

My advice is not to overdo the whole "making a statement" to your outfit thing. Choose one piece that will make your outfit pop rather than too many things because not only will it make your outfit look like a distracted mess but it will also take away the statement that you really trying to make.

Keep it classy my Fashionistas!

Outfit Details:

Blouse: Zara

Jersey: Primark
Jeans: Levi's
Handbag: Mango
Booties: H&M
Jewellery: Swarovski
Make Up: M.A.C
