REVIEW | REVLON & ESSENCE COSMETICS

Trying something new?!

The minute we think of makeup bought at a drugstore/pharmacy, we think cheap, bad, and a waste of money. To be honest I have had a bad habit of judging all beauty products sold at drugstores thinking they not good quality.
Yes there are products out there in the pharmacies that are rubbish BUT the other day I had a real change of mind set when I met up with my best friend and jewellery designer Roxi K from  Roxi K Designs! We were chatting about blogging, makeup and all things girly when I noticed her fabulous eyelashes. For a moment I thought they were extensions but when I asked, she told me that she's been using "Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara" from Essence. I honestly couldn't believe the effect it had on her lashes and I was immediately hooked. The  product is divine and has just been launched as part of the Essence Spring/Summer 2015 Makeup Collection.
I went to my local drugstore and bought "Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara" from Essence immediately to try it out!
It's a real deal for only $4,99/ R60
Along with the mascara I came across this awesome concealer at the drugstore called "Photo Ready" by Revlon. It's a perfect way to cover up any blemishes, scars on your face or dark circles under your eyes. No need for photoshop apps when you have this fab concealer!!!
Foundation has always been a tricky one for me. I am always trying out new foundation to find what works for me but never succeeding on finding the perfect one! I finally think I found the one that works best for me. I know the foundation says "Age Defying" (don't judge just yet) but I can honestly vouch that this foundation is amazing. Not only does it make your skin feel younger and softer because it contains Vitamin B3 & E but it helps retain water balance for those who have dry skin. It is also smooth, creamy and moisturising and gives you great coverage, evening out skin tone and hiding any imperfections, leaving your skin looking flawless! Even though found in a drugstore, I honestly feel that the price is worth it! Revlon products are a tad more pricey than Essence.
The concealer cost: $10.49 /R169
The foundation cost: $14.99 /R299

Hope my review also changed your view on some drugstore beauty products!
